Hello,
Recently I bought WD Blue SSD 500GB and I want to check if there is new firmware available for it. Is there a tool to update firmware for WD Blue SSD on Linux? Sadly I don’t have Windows and I have no access to Windows machine. Is there a solution for Linux users?

Also another question, with this SSD model is it better to use Continous TRIM (discard option in fstab) or Periodic TRIP (fstrim timer in systemd)?

Hi, adomas. Did you ever find any information about this? I recently bought this same SSD (wow! what a difference vs my old 5400 rpm hdd) and I have Mint 19.1 and I was just wondering the same as you.
