I have the same SN850 2 TB nvme drive and my system wouldn’t boot with it in the primary nvme slot (the one controlled by the cpu). I had to move it to an nvme slot controlled by the chipset in order for my system to boot. I used another gen 4 drive (xpg gammix s50 2TB) in the same slot and it worked just fine.
My system is using a Gigabyte Z590 Vision G Motherboard, Intel Core i7 11700K and a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Vision OC Video card.
