WD Black 3TB Clicking noise

Hi, first time here.

I just bought a WD Black 3TB and it is making two different sounds that’s doesn’t seem normal to me.

0 - 5 sec → IDLE It makes this click sound almost every time
At 5 sec there is a mouse click, so ignore it.
6 → 54 sec → Is the Data LifeGuard Diagnostics running.

Isn’t it too loud? I have a WD Black 1TB here too and nothing compares with this. And what about that click sound from second to second that never stops in IDLE?

What should i do?

Hard drive acoustics change with hardware design. While the noise felt normal to me, my headphones may not be letting me get the full picture. I’d try the recommendations in the following article.
