WD backup usable in France?

I have a WD backup drive I bought in Los Angeles in 2012 for my Mac. Works fine. Moving to France which has a 240Volt system. Can I use a simple adapter such as the ones for iPhone or MacBook? Or do I need a Converter to convert the 240v to 110? The Model is:MDL: WD5000H1Q-00.
