WD Backup does not launch

I purchase the 3 TB MY PASSPORT ULTRA last fall and set up the WD Backup software. This worked initially, but since then will not launch. When I click on the program nothing happens. This happens both from the Programs bar and also the launch bar. When I click on backup now, settings or pretty much anything nothing happens. I have seen this problem mentioned before in the WD Community, but I have not seen a solution.

Please provide a solution.

I am still waiting on some type of solution. I contacted support via email and got a response to uninstall and then re-install. I have tried this many times but nothing changes. Upon trying to OPEN or RUN the program, absolutely nothing happens. it will not launch.

Support’s next response was to take screen shots. Of what? I press a button and nothing happens. That is the problem.
