WD Back Up falsely claiming drive is full

I recently bought a 4TB MyPassport pre-loaded with WD backup. I set up the first back-up which reported some files had not backed up. Thinking this may have been due to the PC going to Sleep during the backup, I assumed the next daily backup would sweep up any remaining files. I am on Windows 10.
However, today the WD BackUp software is now reporting the drive is full. Windows Properties shows 2.33 TB space remaining!
How do I get WD BackUp to recognise that the drive is not full?

Similar issue here. I just bought a 4TB MyPassport, I installed WD back-up and launched the first back-up (for a PC drive with less than 2TB of data in it).
I get a “destination full” message and the backup never launches.
What’s the issue?
