WD Anywhere software deletes OUTLOOK.PST

Running WD Anywhere backup V4.00.5239

Drive is a 1TB WD My Book, about a year old.

The software repeatedly deletes my Outlook .pst file after backing it up.

If I configure the program to cease backing up the file, it will stop deleting it.

I would really like to back up this file, since it has all my e-mail and contacts.

Anyone experienced this and have suggestions?

Ive posted this a lot in the past week. Smartware is really a resource hog and not very effective in backups. A lot of people have problems with it.

May I recommend ditching the smartware and using Acronis and/or Paragon Backup software. They are number 1 and 2 on the market right now. I use them and NEVER had problems! You wont be sorry!

Sorry, but I’m really looking for a solution to the problem rather than suggestions for alternative products.
