I have an older XP pro machine that needs additional storage. I have two of the 1.5 tb green drives that will be attached via an addin sata card. These drives will be used only for storage as single partitions. Would it be better to use the jumper on pins 7-8 or use the aligning software? Which will give the best performance?
Jumper would work as long as you never create more than ONE partition.
