WD 8TB Thunderbolt Duo and Catalina OS 10.15

My 2015 Macbook Pro running El Capitan 10.11 is suddenly dying. Of course it picked the perfect moment… there’s a pandemic AND my online store just took off. All software and hardware works great, but I can’t be without a computer for a moment while it’s repaired so… gotta buy new, and make sure all hardware will work on the latest Mac OS.

So among many other things, I’m trying to figure out if my WD 8TB Thunderbolt Duo will still work with Catalina OS 10.15? I also have a G-Tech G-Raid 8TB Thunderbolt also posted on another thread, but just in case anyone knows if that will work too… awesome.

Apologies if a dumb question, but wouldn’t reformatting the drive wipe it?
