WD 1023 usb elements

I have a WD 1023 usb elements and it is the worst drive I have ever owned. I have been in IT since 1989 and the one thing you need is dependibility. This drive shows as formatted then next time i turn on the pc it is unallocated. It is for backups of backups and i am throwing it in the bin. I do not and have never moved the drive other than testing on other PC’s / Laptop within the same room. Most unstable hardware I have ever used.

Seems like the partition gets corrupted. Have you tried using it on another computer? you can also try another USB cable if possible. Also I recommend you run a diagnostic on the drive using WD DLG.
