Warranty period

Hello.

These recertified deals seem good until you look at the warranty period – then you completely lose my attention. I guess you have some buyers who like to entertain risk. When I buy a loaf of bread at the grocery store, I take it for granted it is not going to be fresh for very long – but when I buy a hard drive that is going to store my data, I want something that we both have confidence in – that it is going to last three years or better. It is a lot of trouble to store data, lose it, try to replace it, replace the hard drive, and on and on. Also, I don’t think you really want to base your reputation on something that might fail in six months, give or take a month or two. Please build and sell reliable products, products that you have confidence in, that you will confidently warranty for three years or more.

Hello,

We appreciate your feedback regarding the warranty period for WD re-certified drives. However, the warranty policy for new products is not the same.

Please take a look at the link below.
