Warranty_My passport 1TB

Hi,
I’ve got my ordered piece My passport 1 TB today (Feb 11, 2017) . I checked its warranty on the official WD site and it is showing Nov 27, 2018. That means WD is giving 21 months of warranty only for this product?

Can someone explain why WD is not providing at least 2 years of warranty? In addition in the official website for the series of my piece (WDBYNN), it is showing 3 years of warranty. But it is not happening with my piece why?. Thanks for your help in advance.

Register your hard drive. By default, the warranty starts from the production date until you register your unit.
