Just curious if a torrent downloader such as Vuze is coming as an app. I can’t use Transmission because (to my knowledge) it won’t support proxy.

Official and independent apps are frequently added or adapted. However, a roadmap for future apps or development is not available.
Is there an (un)official list of sites that have independent apps? I know Plex can be downloaded from within the admin panel, but you can also go to the plex.tv site and download the app directly from them. Are there other independent app developers for this NAS?
