VERY raw beginner needs cluestick - My Cloud Home Android All I see is "open in"?

I setup my 4TB My Cloud Home today, and when I login via the app, I see all the files no problem at all. But if select any file type other than an image, all I get is a screen with a button saying “open in” and if I press that , it says “preparing to export”, then a list of apps to share it to, including Dropbox, GMail, Drive, My cloud(?) etc

I have very carefully read the “Viewing Content Options” section on Page 16 of the user manual, and have spent the last hour trying to find this issue here on the forums. If I have missed an earlier discussion, I sincerely apologise, it was not for a lack of trying to find them.

Now that my files are safely ON the My Cloud, how do I access them on my mobile devices?
