I’m not very tech-savvy so any advice is appreciated… I have a 6-ish year old WD external hard drive with lots of available space after using it with 2 PC computers. I now have a Mac (also a few years old) that I am looking to both back-up and transfer (picture) files from. Can the same external hard drive be used with the Mac without reformatting?? Would like to save what is on the drive so would like to avoid having to do any data-removing reformatting. Thank you!
How would you like to backup data from macOS computer, using backup tool (eg. Mac Time Machine) or manually data transfer?
Either way would be fine at this point! (If I can just file transfer that would at least get my pictures somewhere safe and free up space)
