How can i assing read/write restictions to users (based on their ip addresses on my home network) ?
Specifically I want to be the only one with write access to my WD MBWE 2 and i want to restrict everybody else on my home LAN to only read access.

I could be wrong but I don’t think you can change the public folder permissions. You would have to create a new directory with your desired permissions set. But I don’t know if you can by IP address, simply by a user name you assign.
