Use Seagate barracuda in My Cloud single 2gn

Hi Everybody,
My hdd in my 4tb My Cloud has ended his life R.I.P
I’m aware that it used the WD Red HD.

But there is a really good deal on the Japanese-Amazon on the Seagate barracuda 4TB

As anyone tried to use this driver or any other Seagate driver with the WD My Cloud 2Gn (single bay)?

You can use pretty much any sata drive, as long as it supports SMART. (Some flash media adapters that convert to sata do not.)

There really isn’t a check for make or model when doing a debrick. Only a SMART disk health check. (which can be faked if you really, REALLY need to.)
