Use My Book Duo without any specific driver

Simple question, generally but I couldn’t find an answer untill now.

I bought a “My Book Duo” (Gen2) and plugged it into a Windows PC.
Unfortunatly it did not detected any drives directly, instead I had to install some WD driver to detect the drives.

Next thing is, I wanted to format the drives with ReFS on Windows but from my experience until now it doesn’t seem to be possible…
Maybe can someone clarify if it’s possible to use the drives inside the “My Book duo” as custom disks?
