I have two USB drives that both have the same problem. When the drive is plugged in the computer sees the USB. The computer recognizes a WD drive is present. There is no other data. It Acts like the drive is not partitioned or formatted. Any suggestions?
If it shows no data it could be data corruption or someone accidentally reformatted the drive
use a software to test the drive
you can use a data recovery software like TestDisk or Recuva to retrieve the files if possible
