USB copy query

I have a question about copying from the USB port. I know each user has their own private space. I am the owner of the device but I have a flash drive filled with music my dad had on the old My Cloud.

So I cannot copy it over to his account because we don’t share passwords. So here’s the question.

My dad is in NY and I am in FL. If I plug the flash drive into the Home NAS and ask him to open his app can he copy it to his private area?

First, you need to import music files on My Cloud home and place them in your private user space. Then send those files using the share link created in My Cloud Home Mobile app to your intended persons.
