I volunteer at an animal shelter and they asked me to setup a NAS. I use the personal 2TB cycloid at home so I am familiar with the system. However, I want them to perform a weekly USB backup on the mirror. Reading the manual I see they can just plug it in and it will auto start.

My question is how will they know when its done so they don’t unplug it before the backups are done?

To my knowledge there is no indicator other than the dashboard that can let you know if a USB job is done.
