I have recently found an older WD Elements external hard drive that works, but won’t let me copy anything onto it, but will let me copy thing off of it. Seems barely used so was hoping there is somehow I can update software/driver etc?
Here are the details I found below on the device manager (I have a PC)

Device working properly
No driver updates available (from the quick search option in device manager)

After disabling the device and restarting it is accepting files being copied onto it and opened but is this device even reliable? The warranty ran out back in 2016… so it’s 6 years old
