Unrecognised Device

Hi there,

First post.

I have a MyBook Live Duo (6TB with 2x3TB drives).

Since Friday the light on the front stays yellow. It doesn’t change colour apart from going blue every 15-20 minutes (and it stays blue for about 3 seconds).

Both my Mac and Samsung Smart TV are no longer recognising the device.

The power lead obviously works as it turns on.

The ethernet cable works, but nonetheless I tried several ethernet cables with the device in several ports on my internet hub. No change. My internet connection in the house is also fine.

I took all leads out of the device and left it for 24 hours to see if it made any difference. It didn’t.

Has anybody else experienced this before? 

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
