Unable to recognize nine digit code MyCloud Home

Hello everyone
First time MyCloud Home customer, but a frustrated customer. Have spent more hours on this than on my patients (I am a surgeon) to no avail. Still trying to understand why after following the very simple steps and entering the 9-digit code so many times in the app my MyCloud Duo 8TB is not recognized and the prompt tells me to verify if I entered it correctly… Really?
I have already done the paper clip 60s reset procedure more than once and the device returns to the same white light “breathing” pattern and is still not recognizing the 9 digit code either through the phone app or desktop app on my iMac.
What next? Can anyone suggest an alternative? Thank you in advance.

Having the same problem here. I had an issue with My Cloud Home Duo and customer service suggested to back up the data and do a factory reset.
After that, I wasn’t been able to set it up again (doesn’t find it and doesn’t accept the 9-digit code). It’s been like this for 1 week…
