Unable to delete .WDSyncHistory (files in use error)

Hi. I have been searching the web for a few days now, but can’t seem to find the solution. Hope this community can help.

Over time, my .WDSyncHistory has been growing to over half my drive’s capacity. Therefore I wanted to delete the (very unnecessary) deleted and changed files directories. The problem I encounter is that loads of files are reported to be in use (through a popup), which really aren’t. These are all over the place as well, from ebooks, to old invoices and photos. I can’t find any means to delete these files and directories because of this issue.

I tried accessing the drive through Terminal but couldn’t reach it. The ‘delete immediately’ command doesn’t work either. I also checked al in use files through terminal and the activity monitor, but they also don’t show up there.

Does anybody have the solution? Thanks
