Unable to create password to protect WD Go Passport SSD

Dear all

Kindly bear with a stupid question as I am from an older generation and do not know my IT stuff well.

I just bought an WD SSD “My Passport Go” to replace my existing hard drive “My Passport”.

Unfortunately, I am not able to enter a password to protect the SSD drive. I tried clicking on the WD Security App. The App is able to detect my old hard drive but not the new SSD hard drive.

Can someone please let me know, how to password protect my SSD drive?

The WD My Passport Go is not compatible with WD Security.
