I’ve just purchased a WDTV play to use with my MYBOOK Live, after setting it all up and connecting to the network, I can’t see MY Book Live in the storage option.
The only way I can get it to see it is by logging into “MY Book Live” and disable and enabling Media Streaming Option
What am I doing wrong?
Are you able to access the drive from a different device?
Make sure that the firewall of your router is not stopping the connection.
Also do you have the units with statics IPs or DHCP?
It seems to have a problem with my Technicolor TG582n broadband router acting as a media server (this setup by default) if I disable UPnP on the router it finds my “My Book”.
