Unable to access http://community.wdc.com/t5/My-Book-Live/WebDAV-FAQ/td-p/463854

When I try to access the above URL I get the following message:

Sorry, you do not have sufficient privileges for that action.

This is despite being a valid user - I can post messages.

In the same session I can access the below:

http://community.wd.com/t5/My-Book-Live/WebDAV-Primer-Microsoft-vs-WD-My-Book-Live-etc/m-p/576975#M23535

Any ideas?

That is the correct link.
The first has been deleted.

Thanks.

My problem is DAV files being created and taking up space.

Interestingly it seems to be unpredictable as to when it creates DAV files - it can be Microsoft Windows Network or Web Client Network. Also unpredictable as to when I can delete them via Windows Explorer or cmd.

A few questions:

1.  I assume it is still a problem that has no easy answer?

2.  Is SSH still the best way to go if I can’t delete DAV files via Windows Explorer?

3.  I normally do Map network drive in Windows Explorer.  Does doing it by net use in cmd give any more consistent results?

DAV files are a necessary component of WebDAV.   If you’re accessing via WD 2go, you need to leave them there.

I don’t know if CMD versus Explorer is any better…
