So far I am extremely disappointed in this device. I trusted Staples to recommend a product. Bad idea. The device feels like it is running, but it is not backing up my PC. Any suggestions?
Perhaps it would be best to clarify if you have installed the backup software bundled with your unit. Your WD Passport does not run automatic backups on its own/by itself without a proper software handling the process. This software could be WD SmartWare or WD Backup depending on the generation of your unit.
Thank you for your quick reply. This has been very frustrating. I did not
see where I needed to add any extra software. I probably have not done
that. I will try that next. When I check for updates, I am told I am
running the most current. Again, thank you for your help.
