Hello all, I’ve just bought My Book Essential 1 TB yesterday, and somehow I can’t find the information on the manual. How do I turn it off? If I shut down my computer, do I need to unplug the adaptor? Or just leave it there without doing anything just like a flashdisk / external drive that doesn’t use adaptors? Thanks.
You shouldn’t need to do anything more. After a short while it should turn itself off. That’s what it’s designed to do, at least. If there is power to the port, though, it may be prohibited from turning off. But even still, it should go into sleep mode after a while.
