Troubles uploading to 1tb my book

i have a 1tb my book and gave it to a friend at work to upload some movies i think he uses a pc but i have a mac. now im trying to upload some movies and cant seem to get any where when i go to back up it says ‘drive erase’ how can i over come this and upload new stuff???

The first thing to do is get a hold of your friend and see if he knows what he did. It is hard to know where to start now. I also don’t know much about Macs

Formatting the drive or installing an app that lets you write to NTFS, like NTFS-3G from Apple’s web page.
