Hi all. Has bought WD My Book Essentials 1.5TB at first speed there were 200 Mb/s, then has fallen to 100 kb/s and does not rise? In what a problem?
If the drive is new, did you reformat it using windows XP? If you did, then there is a chance that you have an Advanced Format drive. If you have a Vista or 7 pc, you can reformat the drive on those and it will format the drive correctly. If you only have XP, you will have to contact WD for an Advanced Format utility.
