TP-Link TL-WN821N

Hi, I’ve just bought the WDTV Live Hub and a TP-Link TL-WN821N wifi adaptor to go with it.  As soon as I plugged it in and turned it on, it prompted me to upgrade the firmware on the Hub, so I’m on v2.03.24.  It’s working fine via a LAN cable, but it isn’t detecting the TP-Link dongle, which I assume is because the dongle is v3 and only v2.2 is listed in the compatibility list.

Does anyone know of any plans to support v3 of the dongle or am I best off sending it back and getting a NetGear WNCE2001 (£50 from Amazon -  http://amzn.to/dZ6YqE)??)

Thanks in advance for any help,

Dan

Only WD would know the answer to that and they are not usually forecoming on what will be in future firmware releases.

At least the Netgear should work immediately. I note that the Amazon price is now £44.

Its also cheaper here - £33.90 plus £4.20 P&P = £38.10

Thanks Rich, I ended up going out and buying the Asus USB-N10 which was £20 and very small, all working fine now!
