Torrent DL on PR4100 via remote access

Good day.

I want to use my PR4100 to dl torrents i need, but i cant understand how.
i already setup it, so its reachable via mycloud.com,
i install transmission app, and enable p2p app, but i cant understand hot to “feed” torrent file or magnet to pr4100 to start downloading.
Can someone help with it?

I’d suggest to get a browser plugin, e.g. for chrome or firefox.

Alternative, setup a watch-dir in your config file in /shares/Volume_1/Nas_Prog/transmission
See SOLVED: Set watch-dir in the daemon - Transmission

I’ve also used the powerful Transmission Remote GUI in the past.

I set up my NAS to sync with dropbox and set the transmission watch location to be a folder in dropbox. That way I can send torrent files to it from anywhere.

hi, thx. i have dropbox on NAS, but cant understand about transmission - there’s, as i see, no ANY settings available in app on NAS. where to look?

link to forum not works for me.
i tried browser plugin. but how to setup it?
etc it asks server url address and login/pass. there’s no such settings in transmission app on NAS as i see

how can i found that? i havnt such directories on NAS (jbod raid setup)

You will need to SSH into your NAS to access the configuration file.

i havent even small idea how to do that ((

Its a bit technical. Check out the user guides on the WD site and search around the forums. There are a few guides and such. Heres some more info - Documentation for using ssh
