Timemachine not recognising My Cloud Ex 2 Ultra

I have a My Cloud Ex 2 Ultra which has worked as the backup for my Mac without issue until the end of March 24.
Now Time Machine says it cant find the backup server - " Time Machine couldn’t complete the backup to “TimeMachineBackup” The backup disk image “MacBook Pro (2).sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error 19)."
The disc appears in the finder window and can be opened, but will not connect to Time Machine .
Any suggestions?
