Time to upgrade my setup

Currently I have MBL 3TB with no backup (stupid).  It’s almost maxed out, so I decided to Get (2) MBL Duo 6TB units.  I want to know what would be the best way to get the 3TB Data onto the 6TB unit and use the second 6TB unit as a backup for the initial 6TB Unit.

Now I figure I have to get the initial 6TB unit online so I can transfer files, but I’m concerned with what effect installing the 6TB software will have on the initial 3TB units software. Can I just Turn the 6TB unit on, connect via. USB to my laptop and transfer files from the 3TB to the 6TB?

I also have WD TV Live connected to the 3TB unit.

Thnx in advance…

You don’t need to install any software.

The same software you’ve already installed can work on all three MBLs.

No, you cannot connect to it via USB.  It’s a NAS, not a USB disk.

Set them both up on the network and just copy the files over.

So there is no difference beteween the current 3TB software and the yet unloaded 6TB Duo Software?

Nope – it’s the same software.
