Time Machine stopped backing up ONE of my Macs

I have a My Cloud Home Duo that for months has been backing up two machines, an older iMac and my M2 MacBook Air. Since 12/7/22 however the MacBook Air has not been backing up and I am getting the error “The backup disk image MacBook Air.sparsebundle could not be accessed (error 19).”

When I try to start a new sparse bundle I’m out of luck because Time Machine can’t even find the disk.

The iMac continues backing up fine. The MacBook Air connects wirelessly. The iMac and My Cloud Home Duo are both connected to the router by ethernet. Firmware is up to date. My Cloud app for iOS is also humming along, currently backing up photos.

What can I do to get TimeMachine to start updating this sparse bundle again?

Sep 1, 2022 5:25 PM in response to Bob Timmons Time Machine detected that your backups on “Dan’s Time Capsule.local” can not be reliably restored.**Time Machine must erase your existing backup history and start a new backup to correct this.
Thanks for the info. I will erase and start a new one.
