I got time machine back up from my Mac on a WD external hard drive. I used it couple of times to access to my files couple of times & everything was OK. I left the external hard drive connected for a day or so. Then when I tried to open the external hard drive to access my file, it didn’t show anything on it. It shows the HD is empty with full capacity. I need to recover the time machine image, hoping it is possible. pls help.

It is possible the partition is corrupted. I recommend you try using a data recovery software.
