Time Machine BUG: error msg "sparsebundle is in use. Try to eject the disk"

Hi,
Using a My Cloud Home, with Time Machnine
Used to work smoothly
Now get “The disk image “Yannick’s MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” is in use. Try to eject the disk”
Impossible to eject or do anything to fix. Read all forums… Stuck. Please help!!!
It IS related to My Cloud, as there is NOT anymore the option to stop/setup a Time Machine backup from the settings…

This is the kind of snarky, arrogant, sarcastic reply from WD Support that inspires me to write negative reviews on Amazon.

If you read your own post, you will see that it says nothing about this “sparsebundle” error. I have tried the solution here multiple times, and it will start to work once, and then stop, and then I get the error all over again.
