Thunderbolt Duo 8TB for Mac - Want to upgrade

Hey everyone, My first post here. I have a Thunderbolt Duo 8TB on my iMac with Thunderbolt. It’s striped so I have actual 4TB. I’m running low on space and am considering upgrading. I’d like to be able to pop my two HD’s out of the Duo and plop them into another WD product with no re-formatting and lose of data. Am I wishful thinking or can this be done? I’d like to double my HD space as I’m now generating much larger files. Thank you
