Thumbnail sizes and quality

I cannot figure out the thumbs on the media player. Some look very good and some look either squashed or stretched, which make them look blocky. I have used the tinwarble demo folders at 300x450 and these look good. When I resize my own to this size they just look blocky.

Any help with this would greatly appreciated.

I always go for 200 x 300 and that appears to work well.

I edit using MS Office Picture Manager.

Don’t know if that helps.

Steve, all mine are done using Thumbgen.  You shouldn’t have to do any manual editing, if you use the correct template in TG they will look like mine.

Which template should I be using and will the size come out at 300x450 pixels.
