I don’t know what’s going on, using this drive should be simple? It’s not, and I’m not a 90 year old woman with no computer skills!

I open WD SmartWare to do a total backup but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything and light is flashing. I’m also not able to see what files are inside the WD external drive… how do I access that? 

There is no common sense in this software at all, very hard to understand and use. Please help.
