Thinking About Buying A My Book 6TB

Hello,

I’m thinking about buying a My Book 6TB andI have a couple of questions.

How noisy are these drives?
Do they turn off when you turn off your PC?
Are they easy to set up?
How long is the power cable?
How long is the USB 3 cable?
I have an old Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard with only USB2 ports. Can I still use this drive?
Are the My Book drives realible?

The drive is very quiet, but I just picked up a second one this morning. The first one bought from Walmart was not usable from windows 10 or Windows 7 Professional. So I took the one I purchased back to Walmart this morning and swapped. The second one has the same issue, I have tried downloading software and drivers and the drive is unusable. This is the first time I have had issues with WD My Book drives (The new Box looking drives). So I am wondering if anyone has had luck with 6 TB on Windows 7 or 10.
