Running Mac OSX Lion and using My Book Live for itunes storage, iphoto etc. Whilst downloading a podcast the Mac crashed and needed to be hard reset, (couldn’t force quit).
Now unable to connect to My Book Live. Can see it as a shared item in the finder but when attempting to connect to the public folder there is a long delay before the error “The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Public” can’t be found”.
I am able to access the drive through the UI. I even was able to add a new shared folder (named it Test) through the UI. When attempting to connect to this folder I get “The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Test” can’t be found”.
Have I corrupted some files on the My Book when the Mac crash?
What should I do to resolve issue?
Any help or guidence much appreciated.
