The mule process appears and consumes 50% of the CPU in a PR4100

Hello, first of all introduce me and thank you for the technical support.

What’s the "mule"precession? What’s its function?
I can’t guess what it does, but it appears and consumes 50% of the CPU, it just disappears when restarting, and the 2 or 3 days later it becomes tight again.

Does anyone know what it does and how to disable it?

Thank you very much,

Hello

It seems you have installed the third party app amule on the my cloud which is a P2P client. if you are not using it then you can uninstall amule.

For more information and support for amule you should contact them directly.

Good morning, I’m having the same problem and I never installed Amule. It has a Mule process consuming 50%. How to solve?

Have you checked the registry for failed attempts to access your NAS?

I had continuous attacks through the SAMBA protocol, closing the router port seems to have been solved.

A greeting,

Closing the router port for SAMBA solved the problem. Thank you Fanarraga.
