I have been using WD MyCloud for more than 2 years now.
Firmware Version : 2.31.204
Today I recieved the error “Volume Failure” with the explanation :
The data volume 1 on the drive is not accessible. Contact WD Support.

At the moment I The capacity is shown as zero MB and “Scan Disk” and “Format Disk” optionas are shown disabled …
