System will not boot

HI,

I have a 1T external USB My Passport drive and with it plugged in my system will not get past the post screen. Any ideas?

Is this a new drive or a new problem? Look into BIOS and check the boot order. Make sure USB is after main HD. You’ll have to look at your PC maker’s site to see how to access BIOS it varies a lot.

This is not a very old drive, about 1 year old.

Right now I disable legacy USB support in the bios but that also disables my high speed option for all my other USB ports.

I need another solution.
