I accidentally knocked it over on its side. I would call it a gentle action, but nonethe less upsetting. I have run chkdsk AND chkdsk /f on it. No errors. Now I want to scan for bad sectors but chkdsk /r will take days to complete. The drive came out of the box with Install Westrm Digital Software for Windows.exe v. 1.0.29 but I never installed it. No clue what it provides.
Need recommendation for checking this drive that won’t take 6 days and seeking suggestions whether it be the s/w pkg already mentioned or something else. The drive is attached to a W10 Home laptop.
Thank you in advance for any help.
