The Live has 2 USB ports, so I’m wondering if I can use my 2.5" drive & caddy which is powered by USB, ie. it has one of those split cables with 2 USBs on the end, both of which need to be plugged in. Would that work? Or does the Live only support separarely powered drives?
Should work fine, believe the second USB plug was only added for the old days when not enough power was output through a single USB socket, if you need the second USB socket on the WDTV for something else you could get a USB hub for your drive - a mains powered hub would guarantee you have no power troubles with the drive.
