Sub-folder permission

Hi,
I’m from Windows Network Environment. I just purchased the WD Cloud Ex2 Ultra.

  1. May i know how to set permission on sub folder? example, parent folder is Read only. but sub folder is Read/Write permission.
Please advice. I’m using domain to login.
  2. I notice windows domain login doesn’t give user right to access folder after assigned Read/Write permission to the user in dashboard. Is it a bug or limitation? already tried restart computer, disconnect net drive, tested on other pc…
  3. Samba does not accept symbol @ for domain user. eg: Windows AD already set password: Abc@123. but WD doesn’t accept this password to verify login from WD dashboard.
    thanks.

Hi songlip ,

  1. You can work with permissions on each share, but regarding sub folders located on a specific share the permissions can’t be changed.
However, there is an idea suggesting for the feature to be added (For the EX2).
